An iconic era of art: the Hobo Dollar originated on the streets in the USA by some of the least suspecting artists. People living rough on the streets, known as Hobos, would carve circulating currency into small works of art, to resell on for a higher value than the coin was originally worth. Some original pieces from that era have now become worth thousands and revered for the skill and talent portrayed in the intricate hand carving.
Our Hobo Dollars are a homage to the artists of those eras, and are hand carved by traditional standards into original Morgan Dollars, portraying a popular style of that era. Set in high polished sterling silver casing, these pendants measure 42mm wide, 54mm length including bail. Bail hole inside measurements approximately 4x5mm.
Please note that this listing is for the pendant only, for a selection of chains to add to this pendant, please see the Back To Basics page.
